C. Transfer (Master’s, Doctoral, Combined master's and doctoral program):
A small number for each department
A. Master's program and combined master's and doctoral program / Master's program and combined master's and doctoral program (inter-departmental program)
1) Those who have received a bachelor's degree from a domestic or foreign university or are expected to acquire a degree by August 2022.
2) Those who are recognized as having academic background equivalent to or higher than the above in accordance with other laws and regulations.
3) Those who have been recommended by a relevant institution (academic/research/industry cooperative course)
B. Doctoral program / Doctoral program (inter-departmental program)
1) Those who have received a master's degree from a domestic or foreign university or are expected to acquire a degree by August 2022.
2) Those who are recognized as having academic background equivalent to or higher than the above in accordance with other laws and regulations.
3) Those who have been recommended by a relevant institution (academic/research/industry cooperative course)
C. Transfer admission for a master's program, doctoral program, or combined master's and doctoral program is limited to those who have completed at least one semester at domestic or foreign graduate schools and have acquired at least 6 credits. However, applicants can only apply for the same or similar departments as the original graduate school.
A. Document screening and oral exam
A. General Standards
1) Applicants who do not take the exam will be disqualified.
2) Applicants who do not meet the qualifications will be disqualified regardless of their grades.
B. Criteria for Selection
1) A predetermined number of applicants will be selected according to the total score among those who pass the document screening and oral exam.
2) Applicants with insufficient academic performance will not be selected regardless of the number of recruitment.

A. Common Documents
1) 1 copy of career certificate and employment certificate (limited to certificates issued within 3 months from the date of submission)
2) 1 copy of recommendation letter from the head of the institution (limited to academic, research and industrial applicants)

B. Master's Program applicants
1) University graduation or expected graduation certificate (limited to certificates issued within 3 months from the date of submission)
2) University transcript (if you graduated after transferring, include additional transcript of the previous undergraduate program, issued within 3 months from the date of submission)
※ Transcripts should be converted into total grades (total grade point average / perfect grade point score) and percentage (100%).
C. Doctoral Program Applicants
1) One copy of a certificate of master's degree or expected conferment of a master's degree from a graduate school (limited to certificates issued within 3 months from the date of submission)
2) Certificate of undergraduate degree
3) 1 copy of graduate school transcript (if you graduated after transferring, include additional transcript of the previous graduate school, issued within 3 months from the date of submission)
4) 1 copy of university transcript (if you graduated after transferring, include additional transcript of the previous undergraduate program, issued within 3 months from the date of submission)
※ Transcripts should be converted into total grade point (total grade point average / perfect grade point score) and percentage (100%)
5) Research performance report (Fill in the online application form) and published thesis (If applicable)
D. Combined Master’s and Doctoral Program: Same as the documents required for the master’s program
E. Additional Required Documents (If applicable)
1) 1 copy of foreign university or graduate school transcripts and graduation certificate (English documents should be submitted in principle), and attach a translation (handwritten is allowed)
2) When submitting a certificate other than in English, it should be translated into Korean and submitted together with the original certificate.
3) Double major applicants must submit each copy of the transcript showing the double major.
4) Scholarship Application
A. The submitted application cannot be canceled or changed, and the submitted documents and application fee will not be returned.
B. If you did not obtain a degree or if it is confirmed that you have been accepted or admitted through false or falsified information in the submitted documents, or other illegal methods, your admission and acceptance will be revoked (No refund of tuition).
C. Applicants from a foreign university (or graduate school) must submit a Confirmation of Academic Background and Release of Information Form (for academic background inquiry)
D. Acceptance of credits for new students and credits for transfer students in the doctoral program will be decided through a department meeting after admission.
E. If you wish to withdraw after you register due to unavoidable circumstances, you must submit a ‘Waiver of New (Transfer) Admission’ to the Graduate School Registrar, and refund of tuition will be under our university’s standards.
F. A master's degree can be awarded to a person who is expelled midway after entering the master's/doctoral course if they meet the criteria for conferment of the master's degree (must submit a request for withdrawal within the deadline announced every semester)
H. Admission-related matters not specified in this guideline are determined by the Graduate School Admissions Committee.
A. Research Assistant Scholarship
- 50-100% of tuition is provided as a scholarship during the regular semester to students recommended by full-time professors who have been given the right to select in each department based on their academic performance evaluation scores for the past two years.
- Please check with your advisor to see if you can apply.
- Application period: Bachelor/master’s linked program: 3 semesters / Master’s or Doctoral Program: 4 semesters / Combined Master’s and Doctoral Program: 6 semesters
- Application period: Applicants for regular admission must be assigned an advisor, and applicants for additional applicants must apply in March/September after admission (Will be noticed)
B. Public Officials and Military Scholarships
- Up to 50% of tuition to public officials of level 5 or higher, and a up to 50% of tuition to active duty officers
- Including government agencies and equivalent state-owned enterprises
- The beneficiary rate is determined by the Graduate School Operation Committee
- Applicable Period: Regular semester
- Application period: After apply to the graduate school, fill out the scholarship application (attached) within the document submission period and submit it together with other required documents.
C. Scholarships for direct children of our university’s faculty and staff
- Direct children of the faculty and staff of the schools under Kwangwoon Academy and Kwangwoon University Graduate School
D. International Student Scholarship
- According to the scholarships standards set by the Graduate School.
E. Military Consignment Scholarship
- For students who have been recommended by the military consignment.
F. Faculty Scholarships
-Awarded to current faculty members.
G. Admission Scholarship for Undergraduate/Master's Linked Programs
- For the freshmen entering the undergraduate/master's program
- The beneficiary rate is the amount equivalent to the admission fee
H. President's Scholarship
- For the students recommended by the dean and approved by the president, who will contribute to the development of the university.

- All documents must arrive to the Graduate School Registrar on the deadline by 17:00, May 13, 2022 (Fri), and applications that do not meet the deadline will not be accepted.
- Applicants who apply by post (foreign applicants) will receive an Admission Exam Card from the relevant department before the screening date.
C. How to pay the admissions fee

A. Applicants must enter the department's head professor’s office 20 minutes prior to the exam time.
